2. Enhanced Line of Sight System

Line of sight in BLKOUT has always been straightforward, but competitive play can sometimes lead to disagreements. To keep things fair and frustration-free, Proving Grounds introduces a streamlined, no-nonsense system:

Binary Decisions: Line of sight is now a strict “yes or no” system. A model either has cover or it doesn’t based on if line of sight can be drawn to its base.
Line of Sight Aids: Custom tools have been developed to help players determine if infantry-sized models benefit from cover. These aids ensure that rulings are quick, clear, and consistent.
Tactical movement: Models will benefit from cover based on their distance to it. If you're above someone they'll have to be closer to it. You'll plunge fire down on them from above.

By removing ambiguity, this system encourages smoother gameplay and minimizes disputes, so players can focus on their strategies instead of arguing over cover.
